Patrizia Pfenninger

Patrizia Pfenninger was born in Zurich in 1984. From the very beginning, her studies and professional experience have centred on creativity. Since 2006, through her independent agency, she has been working in design, marketing and artistic expression.

After graduating in 2003 with a degree in applied arts, she became a visual communication designer in 2006, gaining experience abroad, including in London. Subsequently, whilst working as a freelancer, she obtained a Master’s degree in Interaction Design.
All these diverse perspectives enable her to combine the rigour of science with the ability to create new worlds.
She applies these skills to commercial communication and artistic creation, alternating between creative projects for brands, multimedia installations and traditional works, in Switzerland and other European countries.

il mio progetto

per la mostra Saul Leiter

REFLEXIONS AROUND SAUL: Patrizia takes her cue from the cultural roots of a photographer of that era, who had to view his images upside down in the viewfinder of his SLR camera. Through these works, she seeks to share this experience with visitors to the exhibition.
She presents a series of installations that alter the way the public engages with the exhibition. Whether they have just seen Leiter’s photographs or are about to admire them, they will have to use their eyes in the same way as those who used a 4×4 camera of the era were compelled to do. An internal reversal of all cognitive processes: from doubt to certainty, right through to the purest emotion.
