NEW VERTIGO EXHIBITIONS COMING IN AUTUMN 2026

Autumn 2026 will bring two new exhibition projects by Vertigo, united by a shared desire to explore the relationship between art, culture, and society through different perspectives and visual languages. On the one hand, a major exhibition dedicated to the representation of time and everyday life in nineteenth-century Europe; on the other, a photographic journey through more than seventy years of live music in Milan.

A Masterpiece of a Day

Curated by Francesca Sinigaglia

A Masterpiece of a Day offers an immersive journey through the nineteenth century from an original perspective: the passing of the hours. The exhibition explores the moment when artists began turning their attention to everyday life and its simplest gestures, transforming them into subjects worthy of artistic representation.

The exhibition unfolds as an entire day, from dawn to nightfall, divided into twelve sections that guide visitors through the twenty-four hours of the day. Paintings, sounds, lighting effects, and atmospheric elements create an immersive experience in which art, poetry, and music engage in a dialogue, evoking the rhythms, emotions, and moods of nineteenth-century life.

Bringing together works by major European masters from museums and private collections, the exhibition presents a collective narrative that crosses places, cultures, and artistic sensibilities.

Live in Milan

Curated by Matteo Bordone and Roberto Mutti

Live in Milan is a photographic exhibition that explores the deep connection between the city and live music through artists, concerts, audiences, and venues that have shaped the history of performance over the past seventy years.

The exhibition journey moves through theatres, clubs, arenas, and open-air venues that have helped establish Milan as one of Italy’s leading cultural and musical capitals. Through archival and contemporary photographs, the exhibition captures the energy of live performances and highlights the role music has played in shaping the city’s identity.

Milan emerges as the protagonist of a story made up of encounters, experimentation, and cultural exchange, a city capable of embracing both international artists and local talent while continually balancing tradition and innovation.
