Following its great success with the public and critics, the exhibitionSaul Leiter. A window dotted with raindrops, currently running at the Belvedere of the Reggia di Monza, has been extended until 31 August 2025.
Organised by Vertigo Syndrome in collaboration with diChroma photography and curated by Anne Morin, the exhibition features 126 black-and-white photographs, 40 colour photographs, 42 paintings and rare archive materials, original vintage magazines and a film document that tell of the author’s unique style and his influence on photography today.
The exhibition also uniquely highlights Leiter’s dual identity as a painter and photographer, showing how his painterly sensibility influenced his photographic work. His training in painting led him to approach colour photography with unprecedented sophistication, treating each frame as a canvas.
